Art and Design o
ffers a wide range of experience to all students, introducing them to a variety of disciplines in 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional techniques, such as, painting, drawing, print making, ceramics, collage, graphics, sculpture and textiles.
Work is project based and includes references to the work of other artists, designers and crafts people, both historical and contemporary. Assessment for projects is linked to National Curriculum attainment targets.

udents are encouraged to work independently and personal expression and creativity have major parts to play towards achieving success.
We aim to assist all students in Year 9 to make the correct choice of subjects to study for GCSE/GNVQ and to spend time with Year 11 ensuring that they make informed choices concerning post 16 studies/work.
Various speakers from local companies and colleges are invited into college to offer advice and guidance on a variety of topics such as interview technique, CVs and form filling.
