Business Studies
Business Studies is a subject that uses a number of skills. Using research skills you will discover how different businesses are organised and managed. Your computer skills will be developed as you will be preparing and presenting your work using Internet searches, email, file management, Powerpoint presentations, spreadsheet techniques, word processing, memos and business letters.
The course will involve going on visits and listening to outside speakers in order to widen your subject knowledge of business.
This subject can be studied at Key Stage 4 leading to 4 GCSEs and at Key Stage 5 at Applied A-Level or OCR Nationals Level 3 awards.
The subject is designed to enable students to enter employment within a wide range of business environments or continue to study further at university on an academic course of the student's choice.
The department has an excellent record of academic success in this subject.
