The Curriculum

In Years 7 to 9 all students study:

Setting occurs in Maths and Science in Years 7, 8 & 9. All other groups are taught on a mixed ability tutor group basis.
In Years 10 and 11 all students study:

Similarly the Science is a double award course. In addition to the compulsory subjects students have a choice of a further GCSE subject from a range of French, Geography, History, Integrated Humanities, Music, Food Technology/ Resistant Materials, Graphics or Art. They must also follow a BTec vocational award course, in Health & Social Care, Business, P.E, Performing Arts or Information Technology.
These two year courses provide the groundwork for further study in our 6th form, where a range of courses are available at foundation, intermediate and advanced levels. These courses include:

A/As level and vocational courses are offered in conjunction with Walmer Science College.
