Facilities
The Performing Arts Department boasts excellent facilities; with a fully functional Vocational Theatre equipped with stage, lights, sound etc - all of which are fully accessible to students, a rehearsal studio with mirrors and specialised flooring and Music Room with additional practise rooms.
The Department has recently been awarded Artsmark Gold by the Arts Council in recognition of our commitment to the arts.
The lessons are as follows:
- Key Stage 3 - All students study Dance, Drama & Music
- Key Stage 4 - B-Tec First Certificate available in Music, Dance & Dram (All taught as separate disciplines. A combination of 2 of these can be taken)
- Key Stage 5 - Students have the option of "staying on" in the 6th form and studying B-Tec Advanced Performing Arts
The Performing Arts Department offers a wide range of clubs, activities and lessons. Performances both in-house and in the community are a regular feature of the work of the students in Performing Arts.
Additional qualifications are offered for Gifterd & Talented students.
