Healthy School Committee

Castle Community College was awarded National Healthy School status in July 2006.

A school that is awarded the satus will hold this for three years during which time they will be expected to demonstrate on going Healthy Schools work through a Whole School Approach and this may be through a Cluster Plan.

By achieving National Healthy School Status a school is entitled to use the Healthy Schools logo as part of the school branding.

Castle has a Healthy School Committee that consists of many pupils, staff and some parents, and this group meets every term to discuss issues such as food in the canteen to smoking.
