Uniform & Equipment
The college believes in high standards of uniform. Students who fall below these standards may be sent home to change.
Anyone who has financial difficulty in acquiring this uniform should contact the college; in some circumstances certain second-hand garments can be made available.
All items of clothing should be clearly labeled with the student's name. Although every attempt will be made to locate lost property, the college cannot be held responsible for it.
Students are expected to wear sensible shoes during college time. Trainers will be necessary for PE lessons only. These sh
ould be worn to and from college or during other lessons
All students are expected to wear the following college uniform:
Years 7 to 11
Navy blue sweatshirt, white polo shirt with the CCC logo and navy Blue Outer Coat only available from the college. Black skirt or trousers. Sensible dark shoes (not boots).
Years 12-14
Smart clothes (suitable for going to work in an office).
Equipment
Most aids to learning are provided by the college - books, stationery, apparatus etc. Students must always bring writing equipment: a pen, pencil, ruler and eraser. All students will need a college bag suitable for transporting their books and equipment to and from college.
For certain subjects such as technology and science some form of protective clothing is necessary. In technology and art it is requested that students wear an apron, overall or old shirt, to protect themselves and their uniform.
Valuables
Valuable items should not be brought into college for security reasons. Radios, mobile 'phones and personal stereos are included in this category. The college cannot be responsible for the safety and security of such items. We strongly recommend that a personal insurance policy is taken out by parents to cover property, especially bicycles to cover theft or loss.
Dangerous Items
Dangerous items are forbidden. Any such items found in college will be confiscated from the student. (This includes laser pens).
PE Kit
Black T-shirt with school logo (only available from school), black tracksuit or bottoms (can be obtained from the school), Trainers, White socks. Football boots, shin pads. Rugby shirt optional.
