Castle Community College is committed to providing and meeting the Careers Education, Information and guidance framework and to deliver the standards of 'Investors in Careers' and the statutory provision of Self Develop, Career Exploration and Career Management Skills.

- We are committed to providing our young people with a wide and varied programme of information and guidance that includes vocational opportunities and pathways to ensure their individual needs are met for their progression into further and higher education and/or employment.

- The College will offer careers information and guidance provision for students aged 11-19 years irrespective of their aptitude, ability and disability, throughout the whole of their time with the College.

- Through working with the connexions Service we will insure that our students have access to independent and impartial advice and guidance and where necessary support.

- Targets and action plans will be in place to ensure that student reach their personal goals and their targets and that their achievements are recorded and shared with their parents.

- Students will have access to a work based learning programme which will include a work placement with a local employer and the opportunity to take part in some vocational tasters. at a local FE college
|
- The College will work on strengthening its links and partnerships to ensure full engagement with the business sector and local community. We will work with students to ensure their personal self development and understanding is reinforced.
